Chassis for transporting wheelsets

When maintaining the bogies, you can transport the wheelset wherever you need it – for example, from live operation to the repair hall and vice versa. The bogies will make your work easier and you can transport heavy loads using only your own power.

You load and transport the wheelset

A steel frame with wheels will make it easier to transport the wheelsets on rails and simplify access to the machines during maintenance.

You insert the axles into the V-insert and secure them. Then you can take the wheelset wherever you need it – for regular service, for example. Quickly and safely.

You can also perform service work on the chassis: for example, removing or installing bearings.

Key features

Speed

We manufacture the chassis on

wheels, so once you load the wheelset on it, you can take it wherever you need to go.

Safely

Trying to carry a wheelset or load it onto a regular cart can be a health risk. It's better to load it onto a steel frame chassis.

3 types of chassis

Depending on the type of wheelset, you can also choose the type of chassis. Classic for normal operation, special for more demanding conditions or a chassis with suspension.

Universal

We design our wheelset bogies with a gauge that allows them to be used on most railway lines.

Choose from 3 chassis types

We divide chassis into three types according to purpose and requirements:

Classic chassis

The chassis with a simple design is used to transport wheelsets in their basic form . It operates at lower speeds and under normal transport conditions.

Special chassis

The wheelset on this chassis already has specific properties. We designed it for more demanding conditions : a special type of chassis can be found, for example, in heavier trains or when transporting long wagons.

Chassis with suspension

A suspension chassis, as the name suggests, also absorbs shocks during transport. The cargo has greater stability on the train and the risk of damage during transport is reduced.

Technical parameters

  • The bogies allow you to move a loaded wheelset along the track.

  • They are also compatible with wheels with a diameter of 750 - 1,000 millimeters. Up to 1,250 millimeters without the need to change the bearing.

  • They are suitable for the track gauge of most railway lines (1,435 millimeters).

  • The wheelbase reaches 830 millimeters above the top of the rail (for wheels with a diameter of 900 millimeters). It is therefore also suitable for mounting bearing houses.

  • The equipment also includes lifting eyes for crane transport when removed from the track.
